Self-Building with Maple Timber Frame
For those seeking an affordable option to construct their own home in the Nantwich area, Maple Timber Frame offers an excellent solution with our innovative timber frame construction. Timber frame construction provides self-builders in the UK with a highly adaptable, sustainable, and efficient building solution. The flexible design allows for customised layouts and open floor plans, while the use of renewable, eco-friendly timber materials promotes energy efficiency and reduced carbon footprints.
A Sustainable Solution
Timber frame construction presents a sustainable solution for building, offering numerous environmental advantages. By using renewable and biodegradable timber as the primary construction material, it reduces reliance on non-renewable resources. Timber frame homes are well-known for their exceptional thermal efficiency, achieved through a well-insulated building envelope that regulates indoor temperatures and reduces energy consumption. The prefabricated and precisely engineered timber components also minimise construction waste, while the adaptable design of timber frames allows for easier modifications and adjustments over time, promoting long-term sustainability. By capitalising on these sustainable qualities, timber frame providers like Maple Timber Frame deliver eco-friendly homes that align with the environmental priorities of modern homeowners.
Aesthetic Appeal and Flexibility
We have mastered the art of incorporating timeless visual appeal and outstanding design adaptability into our impressive timber frame homes. The natural beauty of exposed timber beams and structural elements creates a warm and distinctive atmosphere that resonates with many homeowners. Timber frames seamlessly blend with various architectural styles, adding depth and visual interest to both traditional and contemporary settings. In addition to their aesthetic charm, timber frames offer unrivalled flexibility. The unique construction of timber frames allows for spacious and adaptable floor plans, giving homeowners the freedom to customise their living spaces as they desire. This design flexibility extends to both the exterior and interior, allowing for innovative elements such as expansive windows and high ceilings.
Precision Craftsmanship and Innovative Technology
Maple Timber Frame’s outstanding homes are constructed with a strong focus on excellence and advancement. Our cutting-edge production facilities merge contemporary technology with traditional artistry, commencing with the meticulous selection of responsibly sourced timber of the utmost quality. Utilising state-of-the-art CNC machinery and innovative computer-aided design (CAD) software, our proficient team accurately cuts, shapes, and prefabricates the timber elements to match the precise requirements of each distinctive project. Our dedication to precision extends beyond the factory premises. We prioritise on-site assembly and employ efficient installation crews to guarantee a seamless and efficient process that minimises waste and disruption. The prefabricated components seamlessly interlock, enabling swift and secure assembly while upholding the structural integrity of the timber frame.
Cost-Effective and Customisable
A Nantwich house built using timber frames presents opportunities for cost savings by utilising materials efficiently, expediting construction processes, and enhancing insulation. The durability of these lightweight structures enables the use of smaller foundations. These properties can be easily modified to accommodate future expansions or relocations. Well-maintained timber constructions have the potential to endure for centuries, justifying the initial investment. Moreover, these homes are highly desirable, potentially increasing their resale value. By harnessing the efficiency, speed, energy efficiency, and adaptability of timber framing, homeowners can enjoy a cost-effective solution with long-term advantages.
Our vision for the future is to provide affordable, truly sustainable, zero carbon homes without requiring major changes in the way we live.
Testimonials
Fantastic service from start to finish. Top quality work by a top quality team Highly recommended
Anthony B.,
Bought a timber frame from Maple a couple of years ago. They were a great help during the design process and we can say now that the end result is all they promised, a super house with high insulation values and low heating bills, well done Maple!
Derek W.,
The chosen frame was the standard Maple 90mm design, which was filled with90mm of mineral wool. Though Maple also offer a 140mm frame with higher levels of insulation, Graham and Suzanna’s house achieved an energy efficiencySAP rating of 99 out of 100, so they feel they made the right choice
Build It Magazine,
The Parkyns were determined not to cut corners, and visited some of the Maple’sprevious clients, talking to them about the service. Chris wanted Maple to obtain building regulation consent, supply and erect the frame, and provide the second fix carpentry, but preferred to subcontract out to the various other trades and purchase further materials for himself.
Homebuilding & Renovating Magazine,
Maple Timber Frame helped the Nozedars throughout their project – liaising with the planners and adapting the plans. They had designed the chalet bungalow from the outside, in order to meet all planning requirements.
Homebuilding & Renovating,
After tendering to three timber frame companies the Spraggana chose Maple TimberFrame, who returned the cheapest quote and was the only company prepared to create a totally bespoke frame to Keith Cattell’s design
Homebuilding & Renovating,
The Hansons started by visiting timber frame show homes. They found that many of the designs had vertical wooden posts as standard. While they could see their charm, they could also imagine the bumped heads and tears. The absence of posts was the initial attraction to timber frame manufacturer, Maple. ‘We also like Maple because they were a small, friendly company’ said Caroline. ‘It was great to see the company director, Philip Price, take such an active, hands-on interest in our project.’
Caroline,
The classic stone portico over the front door was created by a specialist firm of stonemasons, Faussets near Blackpool in Lancashire, recommended by Maple. Even allowing for transport costs (to Cambridgeshire), we reckon that we would have had to pay two or three times the price to have had the portico built locally.
Graham & Suzanna,
The erection of the timber-frame was a model of efficiency. The three-man teamarrived mid morning . . . and by the end of the first day already had the frame erectedto first floor level. The entire job took just one week.
Build it Magazine,
I have a complete distrust of tradesmen, which helped us to decide on a buildingusing timber-frame. It is such a quick process, which gives a weathertight shellwithin a few days.
Chris Parkyn,
We wanted to build in timber-frame because it would be quicker than brick and block. We also wanted a house with good thermal values. We wanted apackage company that would give us support all the way through the project, so we simply worked our way through the Build It list of package companies and contracted seven or eightwho sounded suitable
Graham Reynolds,
Lynn and Audrey had visited the Homebuilding & Renovating Show together and hadboth been impressed by Maple Timber Frame, who worked with them to develop theirideas into workable designs. They were interesting to talk to and interested in what wehad to say, but what really clinched it was their flexibility. We weren’t prepared tocompromise on our design.
Homebuilding & Renovating Magazine,
We were on site before the full tendering process for the timber frame was complete. We went to about eight companies and based on a combination of cost and reportsfrom others before deciding on Maple.
